Dr. Sola Loy, ND earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. During her training, she gained valuable experience in a variety of clinical settings throughout Washington state before establishing herself back in her home state of Louisiana, where LSU is her alma mater (Geaux Tigers!).

As a triple major at LSU during her 4 years at LSU, she had to get special permission to take 20+ hours per semester and was in school non-stop (i.e. summer school, winter interim, and spring interim) to graduate on time. She also had a heart for service and volunteered at Beauregard Memorial Hospital, Baton Rouge General, and Our Lady of the Lake Hospital throughout her college years. She primarily focused in pre-med and switched to pre-dental in her junior year, working at two dental offices. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in a double concentration in British Literature and Creative Writing with a Biology minor and a Painting/Drawing minor.

After her dental school interviews on the west coast, she accidentally discovered Bastyr University (Seattle, WA), the top naturopathic medical school in America that focused treatment in holistic and alternative modalities as a primary care physician. She fell in love with the school campus that was a former monastery nested inside of St. Edward State Park. She quickly shifted gears to apply and was accepted that summer for the fall class. She loved the garden that was organized by body systems (i.e. cardiac herbs, liver herbs, etc.) while learning about prescribing pharmaceutical drugs, performing minor surgery, and performing in phlebotomy and IV therapies.

She worked as a Rehab Specialist in a chiropractic clinic, focusing on physical therapy and helping patients recover post injury for 2 years. After living in Seattle for a total of 7 years, the sweet charm of Louisiana and missing family made her decision to return home an easy choice.

She was also an MCAT Instructor at The Princeton Review in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Seattle for 8 years before she had to take medical boards. She was honored with the Top MCAT Teacher Award in 2010 in the USA and Canada.

Committed to delivering the highest quality care, Dr. Sola seeks to understand her patient’s journey towards healing using botanical medicine, homeopathy, nutrition, and counseling.

She has received advanced training in IV therapy while she pursued her Certificate of Classical Homeopathy through the New England School of Homeopathy. She is a member of the Louisiana Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
